Total Entertainment Restaurant Corp. Announces Record Comparable Store Sales Growth and the Introduction of New Barbeque Menu

WICHITA, Kan., Sept. 18, 2001 -- Total Entertainment Restaurant Corp. (Nasdaq:TENT) announced record comparable store sales growth for the twelve-week third quarter ended September 4, 2001. Comparable store sales growth for the quarter was positive 9.5%. Year to date comparable sales growth is positive 7.0%.

Steve Johnson, Chief Executive Officer, stated, "We are very proud to report our tenth consecutive quarter of same store sales growth, and to accomplish that with near double digit growth is evidence of the strong momentum we have been building over the past two and a half years. This also marks our fourth consecutive quarter of positive comps in excess of 5%."

The Company also recently opened their third unit during 2001 and the forty-first unit overall in Charlotte, North Carolina. This unit is the first unit to implement their new barbeque menu. Gary Judd, President, stated, "The initial results of the new menu have exceeded our expectations. We set daily and weekly sales records during our opening week in Charlotte. Barbeque is a natural fit to our concept, and we will begin rolling out the new menu to other locations in the fourth quarter."

The Company currently operates 41 entertainment restaurants in 34 markets under the names Fox and Hound English Pub & Grille, Fox and Hound Smokehouse & Tavern, Bailey's Sports Grille, and Bailey's Pub & Grille.
